Windsor castle

I went to Windsor castle with my friend and teacher yesterday. It was the second time to visit for me, but when I went there last time, I was young, so I just looked at and couldn't understand almost anything. However, in this time, I could I think. Then, we went to the church which is built next to the castle. It was amazing!! Next, we went inside of the apartment in Windsor castle. There are not only hundreds of guns and knives on the wall in several rooms but also precious and awesome chambers, and portraits of those who played an important role in the battle of Waterloo on the wall in each room. Everything looked massively expensive!!!!

Finally, we went to Queen Mary's dollhouse exhibition which displays the house where Queen lived, and many clothes. I have never lived like that house before, and I never attempt living, though, it's very valuable life...

Outside of the castle, there are a few guards standing properly, wearing a fluffy black hat and a typical red uniform, and having a gun with a knife on the top. I liked them because they were cool!! They never have a reaction even if I speak to him. I wondered if someone do funny thing, do they laugh? I don't know exactly, but it's interesting.

After that, we wandered the town, and dropped in to a shop, where bought two post cards.

I was excited to visit Windsor castle.^^

A small trip to Brighton

I went to Brighton with my friend yesterday. It took about 2 hours from Winchester station. It's looong journey, isn't it?hehe

Brighton was very pretty, and actually crowded!! At first, we went to Choccy Woccy Doodah which is famous for chocolate art. When I saw them, I doubted my eyes because it was brilliant indeed and like objects. I wondered how they make them. It was super amazing chocolate art ever!!! I absolutely recommend everyone who will go to Brighton.

After that we went to the burger pub to have lunch, BUT suddenly the kitchen was on fire while we were waiting for our lunch. Then the staff in the restaurant said everyone who was in there, so we offered the staff to refund, and went out. It was really dangerous.

When we went around the town, we came across the super violinist who is on the tiny rope!!!! He is like in the air!! It is actually high quality and nobody can imitate it, I think. And at last we went to Royal Pavilion. I felt like that I was in the Disney land because it is like the model of Aladdin.hehe In there, time was very slow and it was comfortable to chill. I thought I wish I would have pack lunch...

On the way back to Winchester, the train suddenly was not in service. All passengers were confused. We changed trains four times after all!!!!! I can't believe!! It was the most fantastic trip ever...hehe I missed the name of Winchester. x(

Two big things happened to us, but anyway Brighton was very enjoyable and brilliant!!! I was veeeery tired, but if I have chance to go, I'd like to go again.^^

Jane Austen's House

I went to Jane Austen's House Museum yesterday with my friend and teacher. We saw Alpacas on the way to there. It was the first time to see it. It was very pretty and friendly, but not good smell...hehe I couldn't touch them. I regretted that I should touch them...

Then, we arrived at her house after about 10 minutes walk from the bus stop. I tought as I saw the house that haw pretty garden it is!! The garden was surrounded by many kinds of flowers. We explored the house by ourselves. The most surprising thing inside that Jane Austen used the very tiny table to write her manuscripts. Incredible!! I thought before that normally a writer write on the large table because they have lots of drafts an
d pictures to built up their imagination. It was over my imagination. I wonder how she expanded her imagination with her tiny chair and table.

During my exploring inside, I talked to one elderly woman. She recommended reading "Pride and Prejudice", so I'll try in the near future. The original objects were very fascinating and like a miniature.

After that, we went to the cafe. I had English a fruit scone and a cup of espresso coffee. The scorn was great!! I liked it. I didn't know how strong espresso coffee is because the espresso in Japan is normally not so strong, so I'll try "Latte" next time.

Eating weekend (^O^)

On Saturday, I went for jog in the golf course in the morning. It was very nice to refresh!! Exercise specifically jogging and walking is actually good for health I think. Then People I met during my jogging said to me "Good morning". I was very happy. Very friendly!!!!

From afternoon, I went to Basingstoke with my host family. Then my father dropped me and my mom off in the large shopping centre. The shopping centre was very busy with many visitors. We browsed around there, and found the very pretty similar shops which I have seen, such as H&M, GAP, Super dry from Japan, and TOP SHOP. After that we went to my mom's sister's house to have supper. My mom's sister cooked us lots of amazing foods!! Moreover, she cooked me special Chinese food which similar to Japanese food. I enjoyed having it.

Awesome!!!!!!

On sunday, I went for walk as well because it was lovely day to take a walk. After 12 o'clock, My mom's old friend came to our house with her family. and we had Japanese food, Sushi and Teriyaki, and Indian food. It seemed international food party!!^^ I taught my mom how to cook Sushi a little, though I didn't cook...hehe All foods were great!! I liked it!! I chatted with them, and watched Happy Potter with children. Love Harry Potter...♡

It was very enjoyable weekend, but I had foods too much, so I need exercise a little more. hehe Time flied very quickly this weekend!!

The British Museum

I went to the British Museum with my friend and teacher yesterday. This was the second time to go there. When I stood in London, I thought London is very huge, and very crowded!! It is different from my town in Japan.

We took the local train and tube train to get to the King's Cross station from Winchester. In the King's Cross station, we saw the Platform 9 3/4 and took photos. Then we took funny pauses such as jumping with my foot together, and pushing the cart. I really like Happy Potter, so I was happy to see it. In there, people normally took a long queue to take a photo, but fortunately, it took just about 10 minutes to queue!! Awesome!!!

After that, we went to the British Museum on foot, and on the way to there, we walked around London - London college, TV tower of London. -

Finally, we got to the British Museum!! We had only about 2 hours, but I could see the beautiful things I wanted to see.

First, I saw this funny and amazing sculpture. This was used in the film; Night Museum. This funny face is my favorite.

Next, I saw the Lewis chessman. It was used the film; Happy Potter. This was getting bigger with CG, but this was modelling of Happy Potter. I popped out in my head, when I saw it.

I saw not only these two things but also the other things. The life in ancient was not very useful and enough to live, but their idea and the old things they used to have were very wonderful. I wondered who had used these things or how status they had gotten.

This is the plate for something to have... It measures 72 cm and weights 5.6 kg. Very huge and old!! I don't know why the ancient needed this huge plate... I was surprised!! How a huge!!hehe

After we went out of the British museum, we went toward St. Oxford and walked around as well. St. Oxford was very busy more crowd than King's Cross. Oxford is the place where became modelling of Shinjuku, Tokyo in Japan!! There were lots of shops including import shops from Japan. Then we went in about the largest toy shops; Hamleys!!!

This is all made from LEGO!!!! It's really awesome, isn't it ?

London was very nice place for all generation, but it's not good to crowd. I walked about 20000 steps a day!! Amazing!!! I need strong foot I thought...hehe I'd like to go to London again.

Lovely weekend.

I spemt my weekend with my host family.

On Saturday morning, I went to the cheapest supermarket " ALDI "  and cheaper surpermarket " Seinsbury's " with my hostmom and Urara. I surprised at both of it that the good price and the aquantity of foods, and it has lots of stuff not only foods or drinks but also cloths and toys. It was very different  of Japanese one. Then after being back, I had Emglish breakfast - tomato, egg, mushroom, 2 pieces of sausage, and potate - for lunch!! It was delicias and liked it so much.

This is traditional English breakfast (^O^)♩

On Sunday, I went to the competition of scouts of handmade car races with my host family. Both of boys participated in it. There were lots of good painted cars which have variations on shape, colour, and humour. It was excited to see!! Then I surprised that this competition is related with Japan. Every four year, this organiser go somewhere around the world. Then, this time is Japan by chance!!! I was glad to see Japanese...hehe

Cathedral in Salisbury

We went to the Cathedral in Salisbury as a excursion yesterday. It was very very big than I expected. The Cathedral is the old building which was built in 1253. We went to not only the Cathedral but also Magna Carta exhibition.

Magna Carta exhibition
Magna Carta was written on parchment in 1250. It is the first document about the law in England and everybody had to obey. The Barons made the King John sign it because the King John had raised tax and demanded lots of money from the people in England. So the Barons had to control King John.

Then this is the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta is really tiny and no space because it is written on the parchment. The parchment is very expensive. I was impressed this tiny!!!! Moreover, I couldn't read...

The Cathedral
The Cathedral in Salisbury is very big and large Gothic church. There were lots of the historical things, such as very long the tower and spire, the statue of Bishop, and the beautiful stained glass. When I saw these things, I was impressed this size of the church. Then the tour guide lady took us around the Cathedral and told us about it. It was difficult to catch her talking, but I could feel the beauty of it. The Cathedral was very quiet place and I could feel calm. It was interesting and fascinating for me because the history in England is much bigger and wider than Japan, and also different!!

We walked a lot (over 12000 steps!!!) However, It was great building!! I was excited to go there and see lots of historical things indeed.

The First Week in Winchester

In first week, I thought Japan and England are very different country at the variety of points. For example, how to eat (we normaly use a chopstick when we have meal, but people in England normaly use a fork and knife), main food (in Japan, rice and noodle, but in England, potato and chicken), how to ride on the bus (we usually pick up the ticket, and pay the fee when we get off, but in England people pay the fee when they get into the bus.), and the school (we go to the school with friends and the return is as well when we are elementary school student, but in England, the parent take their children to the school and the parent pick them up.)

England is very beautiful country because people are really kind, this country has lots of history, and the goods are like a toys. :-)haha Especially, Winchester has beautiful nature and lots of green. However, the weather is not steady and cold. So it is not good for me.

The best surprised thing is that the day time is really long!!!! even if it is 8 pm, it doesn't get dark. I was really surprised.

I hope my staying in England is enjoyable for me and my English is more improve!!!!
